As part of HB Health we at the juice bar are committed to the promotion of healthy living. We believe that good health and happiness go hand in hand and that it is our responsibility to educate people about the benefits of organic produce and the dangers of consuming non-organic produce.

Some of the advantages of organic farming are:

  • Healthy soil ensures that the nutrients contained within it are passed directly into the food and in turn into your body.
  • Organic farming avoids the use of chemicals and finds natural methods to achieve the same goals.
  • Organic farming does not cause pollution. The cost of pollution is paid by consumers in the form diseases, a worse environment and of course taxes.
  • Organic food is more nutritious and healthier than non-organic food.
  • Organic food is good value. If the cost of pollution and health care were added to non-organic food the true price of it would be seen.

For us as a healthy juice bar it is essential to use organic fruit and vegetables. For instance, if you make a glass juice from 5 whole fruits you will be concentrating all of the nutrients which is great as it’s more preferable to drink a glass of juice than to try and munch your way through 5 whole fruits or vegetables in one go. However, if you use non-organic produce when juicing you will also be concentrating all of the harmful chemicals which are used to grow the mass produced food, the negative effects of which can be serious especially to children.
